Come learn about grants and loans for farmers in Connecticut, including EQUIP, FSA Loans, CT Farm Transition Grants, Farmland Restoration Grants, as well as Organic Certification.

Afternoon Session – Additional Intensive Courses start at 12:30pm

• Farm Financials & Accounting with Kitchen Table Consultants The Farm Financials & Accounting Class will be divided into basic and advanced topics. Basic topics will cover areas such as understanding what is a Chart of Accounts and how to streamline for easier bookkeeping. Advanced topics will cover a Balance Sheet: what they tell you / what is Net Worth and why you should care.
• No-Till Farming with Bryan O’Hara, Tobacco Road Farm. This session will include soil management techniques and the use of compost and organic soil amendments.
